Many fans were frustrated that in the film, just when Forrest was about to speak during the huge demonstration in Washington, D.C., his mic cuts. Well, have no fear. We can tell you just what he said during his speech. Forrest said, “Sometimes when people go to Vietnam, they go home to their mamas without any legs. Sometimes they don’t go home at all. That’s a bad thing. That’s all I have to say about that.”

Bubba’s one dream was to see out his shrimping business. Of course, he extended an invitation of partnership to Forrest, his close friend during the war. Unfortunately, the lovable Bubba passes away in Vietnam. Luckily for us, his legacy lives on to this day for all to enjoy! Yes, you can dine at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in cities across the United States, as well as cities in Japan, China, Malaysia and Mexico.
