1856 1-Cent Magenta Stamp

This stamp was first discovered by a Scottish boy in 1837 while going through his uncle’s stamp collection, and it has continued to pass through different hands until 1922, when it fell into Arthur Hind’s possession when he purchased it for $36,000. Now it’s owned by shoe designer Stuart Weizman who paid $9.5 million for it.

1926 Macallan Peter Blake Whiskey

This vintage bottle of whiskey that dates back to 1926 is incredibly valuable. The Macallan Peter Blake whiskey was aged in sherry casks for 60 years. When it was first released in 1986, it cost $27,600, and just a few bottles were set aside so that artists Michael Dillon and Peter Blake could paint it. At a Christie’s auction, one of these bottles went for $1.52 million.
