Starting The Aspinall Foundation
Damian’s father created the Aspinall Foundation, which was a family charity that promotes wildlife conservation. Through this foundation, Howletts Wild Animal Park and Port Lympne were founded in the United Kingdom. Here they breed rare, endangered animals, such as gorillas.

A Valuable Inheritance
After John Aspinall passed away, he inherited the Foundation as well as both zoos. The zoos were originally used as a place for the rehabilitation of orphaned gorillas due to poaching. Now that he was in control he could make decisions of his own.
