In 1966, Reita Faria became the first Asian woman to win Miss World. That was not the only record she set! Afterwards, instead of continuing with modeling, she chose to pursue medical studies. Thus, she became the only Miss World to become a qualified doctor. She married endocrinologist David Powell, and they have two children.

Astrid Carolina Herrera, 1984
Venezuelan Astrid Carolina Herrera was the third from her country to win Miss World. She won the crown on November 15, 1984. Since then she continued acting and has won many awards in Mexico and Venezuela for her roles.
