Capt. Kim Campbell

Call sign “Killer Chick”, the then Captain Kim Campbell was called in for close air support to assist in removing entrenched enemy forces on the North Baghdad Bridge. She flew her A-10 aircraft into the enemy engagement and successfully destroyed the position. However, on her pass over the target she came under heavy fire and her aircraft was so damaged that the hydraulics went and she was forces to fly the plane on manual for over 100 miles to Kuwait. She is only female and among only a handful of pilots to ever do this successfully. She was given the Distinguished Flying Cross for her actions.

Lt. Cmdr. Bill Krissoff

A true sacrifice. After having his Marine officer son lose his life on deployment in 2006, Dr. Krissoff enlisted in the Navy age 60, after closing his medical practice following his sons death. The Lt. Cmdr. went first to Iraq then later Afghanistan after running into some age disputes on his enlistment. He was on a mission to complete the work he felt his son never had the chance to.
